What is North Carolina Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities?

The Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities Program (EIPD) helps consumers live a more independent life. IL provides an alternative to living in a nursing home or other facility for eligible individuals. Services are person-centered and may be provided directly, purchased, or coordinated through other community resources. If the program is unable to meet a person’s needs, that individual may be referred to other partners for services as appropriate.
